	Creek 'n Woods Vacation Rental Reviews JWH We have given up trying to find the words to adequately tell you what a wonderful/winter/mountain/family/snow skiing vacation we had at your Creek “N” Woods – Home Number IV. Everything about your home was spectacular!!! All of your tireless efforts to make Number IV perfect did not go unnoticed or unappreciated. Your attention to every detail (outside and inside) was incredible!! Everything (and we mean everything) was provided. There was “absolutely nothing” any of us needed/wanted that was not provided. The home was so comfortable. As I told you – we have rented several places over the years at the beach and in the mountains and it always takes us a few hours (or in some cases a few days) to feel at home. All of us agreed “we all felt right at home in minutes at your home.” There is no way we can list every detail that made the home so special – but in the attachment we have listed a few details. Again – “what a spectacular/mountain/vacation home” -- we look forward to returning in January 2013. January 2014, and on and on. Most sincerely DETAILS ABOUT HOME NUMBER IV THAT MADE THE HOME SO SPECIAL OUTSIDE View – much much more than a $1,000,000 dollar view – priceless view. Porch - great porch – since it was January we could only imagine had magnificent the porch must be in the other seasons with the rocking chairs – swings – grill – tables. Waterfall – beautifully constructed – it provides a great rushing water sound for those using the hot tub or sitting on the porch. It is located in a great area – you can see the waterfall from the window by the fireplace in the main living area. Note: We would have never known that you had made the waterfall – if you had not told us. Hot Tub – so clean and so well maintained. Garage Door Opener – this made it so easy to pull into the garage and unload and load cars in the cold weather. Gate/Gate Code – this worked so well and at all times - there was no calling to have someone let us in or out (like with most gated neighborhoods). INSIDE Homemade Cookies - when we arrived – wow wow – they were so delicious!! You should open up a business to sell them. Everything about the home was clean and spotless. Everything in the home operated correctly. Great Lighting throughout the home (with excellent dimmers) – the dimmers made the lighting so charming. Fireplace – great fireplace that added so much charm to the main family area - most gas logs do not give off much heat – this one gave off so much heat we did not have to use the central heating unit. Sofas - so many comfortable sofas. Televisions - up to date TVs in every bedroom and family areas -TVs were all so easy to operate. DVDs – great DVD movies (we brought movies but did not need them). Kitchen – EVERYTHING provided in the kitchen – absolutely EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!! The kitchen was like cooking in your kitchen at home. Refrigerators – great to have two refrigerators. Dryer - was so great for drying wet ski clothes. Flowers – fresh flowers in all bedrooms --- wow. Beds – all mattresses were excellent – very comfortable sofa beds. Baths - big – beautiful – spotless. Linens - many many towels for baths and the hot tub - face cloths for cosmetics (all personally wrapped in ribbon). Hot Water - always enough for everyone at anytime. Puzzles – as a family we all enjoy puzzles and we have to take puzzles wherever we go.—but not at your place – there were plenty of great puzzles. And on and on and on and on!!!!!!!!!JWH Annual family ski vacation Since our children are now grown, some with children of their own, we annually take a ski vacation together. We rented this cabin this year and want to rent it each year for our family get together. Tom and Sue were most hospitable and organized. They were right on top of things which was very impressive. They were also very accommodating for whatever extra items we needed. We had a set of 8 month old twin granddaughters and needed 2 cribs and 2 high chairs. They made sure they were at our cabin. Tom met us and showed us around the cabin. They are all about service. We loved everything about the experience and it was a good one! Our family met at Creek 'n Woods II for a 4 day Pre-Christmas Celebration in December 2011. The initial purpose of this location was a half way point between our home and my husband's oldest son's home. This was going to be the first Christmas celebration that all 4 of my husband's children attended together. What we found when we arrived was an amazing house/cabin with the most beautiful, serene surroundings decorated for the holidays just as if it were our own home. Every need and comfort was provided for and Tom and Sue could not possibly have been more hospitable if we were their own relatives. Our family had the most amazing (pre) Christmas celebration that even our actual Christmas day seemed to dim in comparison. Everyone enjoyed their time at Creek n' Woods so much that we've already scheduled a return trip for a 2012 (post) Christmas celebration. We look forward to seeing Tom and Sue next year and for many years to come.Carol We are definitely pleased with the reservation we made. The owners, Tom and Sue are 100% dedicated to their customers. The cabin welcomed us with freshly baked cookies and fresh flowers on the table. We all loved the hot tub outside. Perfect way of relaxing after playing out in the cold. The place is not too far from the ski resort were we spent most of the day. The cabin is well kept and clean. It was so relaxing & it was one of the best vacations I have ever had & we all felt that way. Thank you again for making our vacation so special. We definitely plan to visit the mountains again & look forward to staying at your cabin when we do. Our stay at Creek n Woods cabin was absolutely wonderful while we skiid at Cataloochee Mountain. The description and pictures of the cabin are very accurate. Tom, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. He met us in town and showed us around the cabin, where there were homemade cookies waiting for us. The kitchen was well stocked with the staples. There were plenty of linens. The cabin was very comfortable to accommodate 4 adults and 3 kids and was decorated so well for the Holidays! The cabin was an easy 10-15 min drive to skiing. After our long days of skiing, we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. My older sons loved the collection of movies that were available. My 2 year old son stayed in the cabin with a friend while we skiid and he enjoyed playing in the creek behind the cabin. We will definitely be returning to Cataloochee to ski again and we would love to stay here again. Beautiful Cabin This cabin is absolutely beautiful and I would recommend it to my friends and definitely stay here again. Tom and Sue are great and thought of everything that we could possibly need and had it available for us. The chocolate chip cookies at our check-in were a very unique touch and they were also very tasty:) The cabin was very clean and well taken care of and the owners were available if we needed anything at all (which we did not because they had provided everything we needed). "What a view!" We had a family reunion with kids, adults and seniors in the mix and everyone had a fantastic time. The owners were as wonderful as the cabin - warm and welcoming. I have rented various cabins over the years in many states and this one has to be my favorite - the owners showed us around the house and I must say that the photos on this website do not show you how bright and wonderful the common living area is. It is perfect for one group to play games/put together puzzles on the dining room table, kids to play in the open play area upstairs, another group to cook and the last group to be outside on the wrap around deck to enjoy the view. At all times, we could interact with one another yet have our own space. Activities (summer)- hiking on the innumerable trails, pool a couple of miles away (nominal charge), tennis courts(rent out rackets for free), zip lining, fake-skydiving. In the evenings we popped in a movie for the kids downstairs and had a great sit down dinner for the adults without either group getting disturbed. It was fantastic. You can really tell the maintenance of a place by the hot tub - this was the cleanest one in any rental property that I have been in. The extra fridge, clean grill and well stocked appliances allowed us to stock up on groceries (and beer ;))in one go and cook every meal while we stayed there. Lastly, the master bedroom has the dream bathtub - by a stained glass window, looking out at the mountainside with the sound of the waterfall. The steep driveway made for the perfect burn workout too! Can't wait to get back next summer! WOW!!! I would just like to say that the pictures don't do it justice, the place is amazing, and Sue and Tom have every thing you could possibly need right down to the home made cookies in the cookie jar made fresh you for us. The hott tub was Wonderful just to rest after a long day fly fishing on the Raven Fork. The sounds of the creek out side the warmth of the house, it made it all seem like i was right at home. Oh yeah last but not least the pillow top beds were AMAZING, OMG i could of slept for days in the bed WOW!!!! Can't wait to return. IF you get the chance to stay in this home you will not forget it. Sincerely Harry, "Our Stay at CreekSide" Fabulous !!!! 1. Listing description was accurate regarding the location, layout & amenities. 2. The Creekside House #1 was immaculate & well maintained... 3. We wen't to Chimney Rock Park (where they filmed Last of Mochicans) they did not say on the internet that elevator will not be in operation till 2012....We walked up 30 stories....We were not even half way up and I stopped counting at step number 700. 4. Dealing with Tom the owner of Creekside was a pleasure...he is 150 % a people pleaser...... While in Maggie Valley for (4) days Tom & Sue seem to have the best logging accomadations....they are located next to Golf Resort. The course is well maintained.... Linda & Donald "Sherry & Tim - Jacksonville, Florida " This is our second time staying at Tom & Sue's house. What a beautiful house, its very clean and well stock with everything you would need including Starbucks coffee.Sue had baked cookies and left them in the cookie jar for us. Along with a bottle of wine for their tenth year, what a nice surprise. Tom is so wonderful to work with and accomodated our needs. The house will accomodate eight people nicely with two full bathrooms. The hot tub outside is aways very clean and it so relaxing to go out there after a long day after enjoying the sights. Tom is very helpful on telling you were the supermarket, and great places to eat are. I highly recommend this house to anyone who enjoys getting more for their money because you won't be treated or taken care of like this from any where else. "Your 'New' Charleston friends" Your cabin on a creek provided a serenity we were not expecting. The views were wonderful from all the deck levels outside and the multiple levels inside. It was made all the more 'homey' with your decor and the wonderful surprise of the cookies and wine. The fireplace added just the right amount of warmth in very short order and helped us enjoy the spaciousness of the 'home' even more. Our son had to be 'encouraged' to pry himself from the rocking chairs on the porch so that we could all be together for our conversation time and meals aided by the well stocked kitchen. Our short stay was blessed by your kindness and hospitality and made it all the harder to depart. We all hope to see you the next time we come your way, and look forward to offering you the same hospitality when you visit Charleston. If you could find us a practice hall, we might be able to encourage the whole choir to come your way. Everything you advertised was there and more. Thanks from all of us for your readiness to help in all things. "Mountain Retreat" We have been staying at Tom and Sue's cabins for at least 8 years now. All their cabins are a home away from home. They have everything you need Starbuck's coffee to Kleenix. You can spend the entire time at the cabin relaxing in the hot tube,reading a book, or just sitting on the porch enjoying the peace and quiet. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, relaxing place to stay then any of the cabins that Tom and Sue have will work. Our family looks forward to our mountain weekend every year. Couldn't ask for more!!! We have rented from VRBO several times without complaint but this was the most enjoyable! The owner met us as soon as we came into town & we followed him to the cabin. We were met with homemade cookies, fresh flowers on the table & a bottle of wine. The cabin was clean & well taken care of. The deck on the back is heavenly! We grilled out our first night & were delighted with the amount of supplies, spices, paper products, condiments... supplied. I did not have to make a trip to the store for anything. We enjoyed the hot tub after long days at the Stompin Grounds for the National Clogging Competition. There is a large collection of movies, books & games in the cabin. The bedrooms were large with very comfortable beds & nice, clean bedding. Plenty of room for parking. Thank you Tom & Sue for making us feel so welcome! "Peaceful Getaway" My boyfriend suprised me and brought me to this cute cabin in Maggie Valley! Once we walked in the door, it felt like home. We had plans to sight see and venture around the nearby areas, but the comfort and peacefullnes of tha cabin kept us contained. It was a great place to just sit and relax, and to put our worries aside. The hot tub was very relaxing on the chilly nights, and the sound of the waterfall could put me right to sleep! Tom and Sue were great hosts-leading us up to the cabin, showing us how everything worked, and shared with us their favorite places to shop, eat, and see around the area. They let us know that we could call them if we had any questions, which made us feel very comforted. The cabin had every thing we could have ever needed, and more than we imagined-we surely did not want to leave. We will DEFINITELY be back soon!!!! Thanks Tom and Sue for the great getaway! Kayla & Will - Mooresville, NC "Perfect for Thanksgiving!" My family travelled from Ohio, Virginia, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina to get together for T-giving. What a perfect setting for a holiday we will never forget. This house was so well-equipped! Plus it was clean and beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed. The huge dining room table almost seated all of us, then Tom and Sue let us borrow a folding table for the rest! The kids found games and a TV w/movies they could enjoy up in the loft room. There is a park halfway down the mountain that we took the kids to to blow off steam. The hot tub next to the waterfall was a really nice touch! We spent many hours sitting on the huge wrap-around decks enjoying the incredible view. We will definitely return to this mountain paradise! "Perfect Cabin with nice people" My family and my boy friend( now, Fiance) stayed at this cabin and celebrated New Year's eve. Tom and Sue followed up with us for the event in maggie valley before we arrived at the cabin. Tom made us feel comfortable in every way and even gave my boy friend some ideas on how he could propose to me in a romantic way. That was so sweet of you, Tom! Sue even made home made cookies for us and we loved it!!!! Their cabin was in wonderful condition and it was so cozy! Even the pillows were so clean and comfortable for us , especially for me who can be so overly sensitive. I really liked the cabin. It was in such good shape, and it was in a great condition, so cozy, and had a beautiful view! I didn't even notice the cabin had that great view until I arrived there! We are so happy that we chose to stay there and I really had romantic engagement because of it. Most cabins required so many things and extra fees, but Tom and Sue were so nice to provide such a great cabin with no specific requirements. They are so nice, sweet, and a gentle couple. Anyone will love them and be happy in choosing their cabin. I really want to recommend this cabin. No one will be disappointed with staying there.
